Personalized male hair loss treatment plans may include prescription medication to help control a hormone associated with male pattern baldness. Your clinician may also recommend over-the-counter treatments and self-care strategies. They won’t prescribe platelet-rich plasma treatments, light therapy, or natural supplements, or give advice on hair transplant surgery. They also won’t prescribe dutasteride (Avodart). You can message your clinician with follow-up questions for 14 days after you get your treatment plan.

What hair loss medications can I get through Amazon Clinic?

What are the possible side effects of different hair loss treatments?
Finasteride is usually well tolerated, but can occasionally have sexual side effects. The sexual side effects include a small risk (<5%) of decreased libido, decreased ejaculatory volume, and erectile dysfunction (ED). These side effects usually go away after stopping the medication.
Minoxidil (Rogaine) is an over-the-counter medication that's usually well tolerated. Rarely, it can irritate the scalp or increase facial hair growth where it's applied.
Camouflaging agents are available over the counter, and are used to reduce the appearance of hair loss. They come in different forms (powders, fibers, sprays) and may cause scalp irritation.
