Personalized migraine treatment plans may include a prescription renewal for a migraine medication that’s worked well for you in the past 12 months. Your clinician won't prescribe new medications or change medication doses. They also won't order lab testing. Your clinician won’t prescribe injectable medications like Aimovig, Ajovy, or Emgality; muscle relaxants like cyclobenzaprine; promethazine (Phenergan); or any controlled medications like benzodiazepines, narcotic pain medication, or butalbital/acetaminophen (Fioricet). You can message your clinician with follow-up questions for 14 days after you get your treatment plan.

If you've gotten a blood pressure reading within the last 12 months, you can use that. To get a new blood pressure reading, you can visit your local pharmacy or primary care doctor, or use a home blood pressure monitor.

What's the difference between a renewal and a refill?
When you run out of your medication, you refill it through a pharmacy. When you run out of refills, a licensed clinician has to renew your prescription.
You can get a prescription renewal through Amazon Clinic. This renewal may be for a 30-day supply of medication, or it may include refills. Your clinician can send your new prescription to a U.S. pharmacy of your choice where you can pick up your medication or have it delivered to you.
