Based on your health information, your clinician may recommend that you see a healthcare provider in person. If that happens, you’ll still be charged for your visit. Frequently asked questions

What migraine medication prescriptions can I get renewed through Amazon Clinic?
Your clinician may renew prescriptions for medications that treat acute migraine attacks, prevent migraine attacks, and treat nausea associated with migraine.

Medications to treat acute migraine attacks may include triptans like sumatriptan (Imitrex) and ergots like dihydroergotamine (Migranal).

Medications to prevent migraine attacks may include propranolol (Inderal, Hemangeol), amitriptyline (Elavil), and topiramate (Trokendi, Qudexy, Topamax).

Anti-nausea medications may include prochloroperazine (Compazine) or ondansetron (Zofran).

Please note: This information is for general reference only. Your clinician will review your symptoms and health history to determine which (if any) migraine treatments are medically necessary.
Why do I need a blood pressure reading?
Your blood pressure is used to rule out other potential causes for your migraine attacks and make sure that your treatment is safe.

If you've gotten a blood pressure reading within the last 12 months, you can use that. To get a new blood pressure reading, you can visit your local pharmacy or primary care doctor, or use a home blood pressure monitor.
What's the difference between a renewal and a refill?
When you run out of your medication, you refill it through a pharmacy. When you run out of refills, a licensed clinician has to renew your prescription.

You can get a prescription renewal through Amazon Clinic. This renewal may be for a 30-day supply of medication, or it may include refills. Your clinician can send your new prescription to a U.S. pharmacy of your choice where you can pick up your medication or have it delivered to you.
