Based on your health information, your clinician may recommend that you see a healthcare provider in person. If that happens, you’ll still be charged for your visit. Amazon Clinic doesn’t accept insurance at this time, and isn’t intended for beneficiaries of government payor programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Frequently asked questions

What hypothyroidism medication prescriptions can I get renewed through Amazon Clinic?
Your clinician may renew prescriptions for levothyroxine (Synthroid, Tirosint, Levoxyl, Levothroid, Unithroid), liothyronine (Cytomel, Triostat), or natural thyroid hormones (dessicated thyroid extract) like Armour Thyroid, Nature Thyroid, and NP Thyroid.

Please note: This information is for general reference only. Your clinician will review your symptoms and health history to determine which (if any) hypothyroidism treatments are medically necessary.
How can I prepare for my visit to Amazon Clinic?
If you need more than a 30-day supply of hypothyroidism medication, you'll need to provide thyroid test results (called "thyroid labs" or "thyroid panels") from the past 12 months. Thyroid labs measure levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroid hormones such as thyroxine (free T4), and triiodothyronine (T3).

If your clinician has concerns about your lab results, they may not renew your prescription.
Can I get my thyroid levels tested through Amazon Clinic?
No. Thyroid level testing isn't available through Amazon Clinic at this time.
What's the difference between a renewal and a refill?
When you run out of your medication, you refill it through a pharmacy. When you run out of refills, a licensed clinician has to renew your prescription.

You can get a prescription renewal through Amazon Clinic. This renewal may be for a 30-day supply of medication, or it may include refills. Your clinician can send your new prescription to a U.S. pharmacy of your choice where you can pick up your medication or have it delivered to you.
