Please note: This information is for general reference only. Your clinician will review your symptoms and health history to determine which (if any) treatments are medically necessary.
What's the difference between a renewal and a refill?
When you run out of your medication, you refill it at a pharmacy. When you run out of refills, a clinician has to renew your prescription.

You can get a prescription renewal through Amazon Clinic. This renewal may be for a 30-day supply of medication, or it may include refills. Your clinician can send your new prescription to a pharmacy of your choice where you can pick up your medication or have it delivered to you.
Why is it important to keep taking my high cholesterol medication?
Stopping a medication should be an informed decision that you make with the approval of a doctor, especially when it's a medication like a statin that can lower your risk of heart attack and stroke.

Even if you become pregnant, experience drug side effects, or make enough lifestyle changes to lower your LDL cholesterol naturally, you still need to talk to a trusted primary care physician (PCP) or cardiologist before discontinuing. They may want to lower your dose or put you on a different medication to keep your arteries healthy.
Can I get my cholesterol levels checked through Amazon Clinic?
No. Cholesterol level testing (called "lipid panels," "cholesterol panels," or "cholesterol labs") isn't available through Amazon Clinic at this time.
